Other Environmental Issues
Glendale Tree Services is constantly aware of the importance
of a holistic approach to caring for the environment and always
take the utmost precautions to ensure that there is minimum
disturbance to wildlife in the course of their work. When
possible they erect nesting boxes to encourage wild birds to
settle and breed in the local environment.
Glendale has initiated a special annual re-cycling
scheme, in conjunction with Antrim Borough Council and the
Farmers' Union, to recycle Christmas trees each January.
A small fee is payable with full proceeds being donated
to a chosen charity. Glendale staff work voluntarily on this
scheme whilst the owners absorb the running costs thus raising
the most money possible.

Victoria Hospital.
January 2006 - £950 for Chemotherapy Unit, Belfast City
Hospital.
January 2007 - £1355 raised for Breast Cancer Unit, Antrim
Hospital. |
